Does The Constant Lecturing From The Government About Climate Change Make You Want To Rebel?

When I hear constant lecturing from the government regarding climate change, global warming, moving to electric cars, dont use diesel engines etc, doesn't it make you want to do the opposite? Makes me want to take the grand kids to school every day in a big gas guzzling diesel 4X4. Get a wood burning fire. Sit outside with a patio heater burning away. Just three things I can think of at the moment but there will be more that could get their backs up.
Anyone else feel the same?

Perhaps "way short" is an exaggeration, but still. It depends a little on interpretation, and of course Trump's announcement of US withdrawal, along with most of his other policies, make it likely that even if the US were meeting them *now* it won't in the future.
Example

Las Vagas is currently experiencing snow. You know... the Mojave Desert.

Las Vagas has also already received more than 50% of it's annual rainfall. It is February.

People are celebrating this. It is NOT normal!

It won't be long before it's not considered a dessert anymore.

Crack on trump crack on mate you deluded ***
Great examples of Global Warming there, splat.
I doubt LV was ever considered a dessert. (although you could pay for it with LV vouchers one time)
I meant desert, and it won't be long to be honest
Backtracking already, jim. Lol, that must be a record.
Unlike yourself, I don't have the gift of foresight so I can't tell you if they don't meet their commitments in the future.
It doesn't make me want to rebel. I just sort of take note of it and do what I think is right whether it complies with their lecturing or not.
Spath kind of demonstrates the point I was (probably clumsily) making.

There appears to be a lot of armchair "experts" on AB about many many things. Because I don't understand it, I'm happy to be educated by the Spath's and maggiebee's of the world who are convinced we're effed, but I bet they cannot provide a coherent argument why we are.
"I bet they cannot provide a coherent argument why we are."

Well besides the graphs that show how the climate has drastically and rapidly changed for the worse after the industrial revolution and how it has increased momentum every day we step into the future and besides the scientists that say if we don't act fast on environmental issues then in 12 years the world would be inhabitable, all i can say is.. "Just cus"
Still no citation for your claims then, spicey?

I was only withdrawing the "*way*" part, which is probably an exaggeration, but I have seen plenty of sources that suggest that the US is only meeting *some* of its commitments, rather than all of them.
I mean we can all agree recycling is important and if we didn't do it there would be problems.

20 years ago we weren't aware of that as much as we are today and people would say "don't be silly, worlds massive"

This lack of knowledge which we once had can correlate to other issues such as emissions, bio fuels and even things like fracking. (pointless, aint gon use gas by the time we get it out)
It's such a well known fact, jim, I shouldn't have to prove it.
And I know this game only too well. Doesn't matter what 'citation' I give you,and there are hundreds(see google), you quote some sad lefty web-site to disprove it.
Try the UN.

Spicey to me that article says despite trump being an idiot, his minions are actually trying to help the environment and stick to the paris agreement.
