With people all getting narked about something or other tonight, here's some great music to cheer everyone up.

(Let's just hope that there aren't any members of the Campbell clan here though. If they know what this song is about we'll have even more upset!)

Capercaillie, brilliant!

Sorry, Mamya, that's FAR, FAR too early.

'Hi Ho Silver Lining' can't ever be played until near the END of the disco, when everyone is severely under the affluence of incahol, with all of the women dancing around their handbags and with all the men dancing around the women. It's the law!

;-)
Mamya, can't count how many parties that's been played :0)
^ To prove a point ;0)
Good thinking, Chris.....x
Just heard this on the radio. I liked the whole album. I took it with me when I went to Venezuala and listened to it on a lovely beach called Guacuco - always reminds me of that when I hear it
..
Oooo...LOVE Capercaillie!!
Beautiful song...

More Capercaillie...sorry, I can only post links.

The problem with music threads is keeping up with everything that's posted!

I always suspected that chimps drank more than tea, Tony!

"I can't dance, I can't sing". A song written just for me then!

Eleena:
There was plenty of rubbish music around as the 60s morphed into the 70s but there were a few notable exceptions, one of which you've just reminded me of. Thanks!

. . . and while we're thinking of the 70s, I'm sure that Keith Harkin (in Gness's video) has got a hairdresser who's stuck in that decade! An absolute classic, Gness, and it's good to have a change from the Dubliners' version too.

Here you go then, pasta.

Nice video, Pasta.

It's good to find some other Capercaillie fans here. I'd almost given up posting stuff here that's not been in either the British or US charts.

This is my absolute favourite:

I always suspected that chimps drank more than tea, Tony!

Your suspicions were correct, Chris. Well come on, even they can't resist a drop of the good stuff.
Thank you Tony xx

Sorry, Eleena, I'm not ignoring you! As I wrote above, it's hard to keep up when there are lots of videos to play.

I've got your music playing now (in a separate window) as I'm typing this. It's certainly beautiful but perhaps a bit too 'anguished' for me ;-)
It is an anguished track for sure.
