I'd expect most would want that, but the real question is why it is occurring, rather than quickly assume this negates all the previous evidence of an issue. We know the planet is warming long term, what we need to find out is what is causing this present improvement.
If you read the artical it says that Global warming is melting the Northern ice but increasing the Southern ice.
The Arctic ice is melting fast.
Interesting article but whatever the process the Arctic doesn't benefit from the same build up, unfortunately. Still, probably more important in the south.
