In nativity scenes or plays that depict three kings or wise men visiting the newborn Jesus as he lay in a manger, most people feel that God used a star to lead them to the stable in Bethlehem. What do you think?

Hear Hear cupid! :)
So Cupid and Ann didn't understand a word anyone here said either.
We do understand Naomi - we know what we believe and who we believe in - that's what our faith is all about.
Goodlife, a little experiment, just go and stand under a star, just the one bright one, maybe then you will understand how ridiculous this story is! :))
Amen Ann86.
I was brought up in a C of E school. I don't believe the nativity stuff, can I sue the school for teaching me a load of codswallop?
Do you really believe it's cods wallop or a fairy tale or is it just easier to follow the crowd.
I am not a crowd follower. I make up my own mind. And yes, I do now believe it is complete codswallop.
Isn't it sad Cupid - I have been a Christian since I was 11 and can't imagine what it would be like not to believe in God and the Bible. :)
Ann, you've been given indisputable facts about the census and about the death of Herod - but still you believe otherwise - so you clearly don't understand - or perhaps more accurately, you don't want to understand.

Bedtime. Night all. x
Likewise Naomi ! Night ..... x
Good night all. May your God go with you.
Anne 86, I cant imagine a life without God. But I once walked in darkness until
God found me. Good night and God bless.xx
You reminded me of Dave Allen signing off ther, Tenrec.
Well everyone is entitled to their opinion Cupid, so if you are a believer that's fine with me. Dave Allen, now there was a god of comedy!
God bless you too Cupid X
Night everyone!
Who sent the Star? Simon Cowell?
The 'star' in the story (if we are to believe that it is true or at least has an element of truth in it) could have been a Supernova.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supernova

A Supernova (for those who don't know) is a massive exploding star. If that star was near to the Earth (ie. within a million light years or so) and was of sufficient size, then it's demise may have been visible not just in the night sky but during the daytime too.
