Will someone please buy this donkey....

My son was browsing on a 'for sale' site yesterday, similar to e-bay but not. He came across an advert - "Donkey for sale, due to lack of grass. Please hurry".
There was a photo of said donkey - a gorgeous but sad white jack donkey stood forlornly on concrete with just the smidgeon of a patch of grass near a fence.
I welled up. I wanted to buy him but knew I couldn't. This was placed over a week ago - and he's still for sale :-(
My unfeeling son however was in hysterics at the reason for sale - 'lack of grass'. Some people.

Instead of buying the donkey, why don't we buy some carrots, and send them to the donkey, so it doesn't worry about having no grass?

I must admit the bit that (shamedly) made me laugh was the plantive "Please hurry"...
And it lives in Skegness, which is only 20 odd miles away from me. I want to go & buy him for my grandchild who is due today ;-) I shall call him Albi (he's pure white, like an albino donkey - if there is such as a thing).

Oh yes ... so there is ... I just Googled it. Is it bad? It looks quite jolly. How does one pick up a donkey, I wonder? I wouldn't want my car smelling of donkey. Also, he'd have to lie on has side, all the way to Sussex. He'd probably get car sick.

Anyhoo, the donkey!!! I wouldn't worry about it too much, no doubt someone will have alerted the RSPCA to the advert, and galvanised into action and to avoid nagative publicity (or else they'd do bugger all) they'll be keeping an eye on it. I doubt it will starve to death :-)
