Probably posted before, but freshly relevant in time of cuts.

Cleggie & Cammie need to raise some money, but petrol has been pushed as far as it will go, and tobacco is getting that way.

Cannabis seems less harmful than tobacco, so let's produce Cameron Gold at £10 per pack. This will drive dealers off the street and make a happy electorate...

Have you read "High Society" by Ben Elton?
Ive read that crack cocaine is more addictive.Wouldnt it make more sense to sell some coalition crack? The fact its more addictive it would raise more cash and help the treasury.
This is tounge in cheek , but then again if its taxable its always a possiblity.

Ben Elton? Isn't he a comedian?

He is a comedian, as well as an excellent novelist...
I would go further - legalise all the addictive drugs. Make them legal, same as fags and drink. Legalise them, tax rhem, and the traffickers are out of business.
That's precisely the plot of Ben Elton's book...

And furthermore, let's pay for the war in Afghanistan by getting the heroin business from the Taliban. We did it in China with the opium wars, after all.

That might need a bit of marketing, but saatchi etc are always around,...
Legalising weed is a bad idea: everyone will be picking up a 'farmer's daughter' with their Tesco clubcard vouchers and the country will grind to a halt. Legalise Cocaine instead: productivity will increase in all areas...
Snags. Sometimes you disappoint me! ;)
Markrae - I have read most of his novels pure class IMO - sadly I haven't read the one that would support my argument. What is the title MR?
Er, High Society...

So what are we trying to say here, in simple words?
Yeah you couldnt legalise it now, its far too powerful and will send you crackers after puffing on it for long periods of time. I have mates who had a bit too much and are now paying the price, its a shame.
So we don't think they're making enough of a hash of the whole thing at the moment then?
'grind to a halt' lol love it
