Can anybody tell me if I can safely take Panadol and Ibuprofen with me on holiday to Dubai. I know I can't take Codeine but am paranoid about others. The original questions was in the history section (put it down to my age).

Could you contact their embassy to find what you can safely take there?
The UAE embassy advises all traveller with any form of medications to check whether they're on the approved list. They've got a helpline number for their medical department, specifically for such enquiries:

Chris
probably yes with a covering GP's letter and only take enough for the trip.
I would take one or the other not both and put them in your case not your hand luggage together with the letter.
You have to have a letter by your GP to accompany any drugs.
