If I had a choice I would move to New Zealand I've lived in Australia for 2 years and at the time they were very anti-pom and did not enjoy it so would try NZ instead. Nice and slow pace of life.
Well having travelled the World for many Years when I was in Navy, there are many English speaking Countries which seem more desireable than the UK i.e Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, South Africa et, but they have their downsides as well.
There are problems over here but there are problems elsewhere as well. For me personally I still prefer living here than elsewhere, as you can always visit these places for a Holiday.
The advantages of the UK Bobbi, no Tarantulas, Rattlesnakes and Great White Sharks.....mind you with Global warming who knows ;-)))

it's more of the feeling of where this country is going now red, me, I would live in Cyprus like a shot, there, the younger ones are taught respect and you will find them helping out in the family business from an early age, yet where Cyprus is geographically placed isn't ideal !
Yeh I think you're right Joy. Ok I'll give Australia another go. I think they're more tolerant of us poms these days.
Question Author
It must be nice getting up in the morning and having your coffee alfresco, reading the paper,,,bliss !
Agree with many of your sentiments Bobbi as many of us feel that the UK is being used by immigrants to fill their boots so to speak. It is a bit disheartening when we become less 'British' than we used to be with all this Political correctness going on.
I am a Fatalist and an Optimist, so hopefully things will improve in time as long as we live long enough to see it.
