The Eastern Shore is the name for the peninsula on the ocean side of the Chesapeake Bay, but that's not where the rivers flow.
The Piedmont is the name for the foothills inland out of which the rivers flow.
Do either of those help, or should I ask my Dad (who keeps his boat on one of those rivers)?
That whole region is often referred to as the "Chesapeake Bay Watershed". Might that be what you are looking for?
Oh, and another one I forgot --
the Tidewater
This is definitely the flat, river-y part of Virginia, but I doubt it's used in Maryland.
I am proud to the Eastern Shore is correct. Some say Eastern Shore of virginia and Eastern shore of maryland depending on where your at. We do have little rivers thay go both into the chesapeake bay and the atlantic ocean.
