foghorn noise in Newcastle upon tyne

Hi,
does anyone have any idea what or where the occasional foghorn type noise comes from, it occurs around the newcastle quayside but it sounds like its coming from different places and if its a ship we cant for the life of us find it

I believe that is the Tyne foghorn situated on the coast, at Tynemouth. There are three there. One slow low sounding, one slightly higher pitch low sanding and a bell. Believe it or not but the first horn I mentioned can be heard right up the Tyne past hexan. When she sounds the waves go right up the valley and along the water
