Hi pink!
You can only do this if you only have hand luggage and it means you go straight through to security (without going to desk) and being at the gate 40 minutes prior to departure. HOWEVER, and this causes problems you need to go on-line to check in upto 48 hours prior to your return journey. HTH

i typed in that i had a bag to check in and they offered me online check in aswell.thanks though, think ill just do the normal thing and check in when i get thre.
They'll have offered priority boarding which means you board the plane before the others. Unless you have kids or are a small group and want to all sit together I don't think it's worth it. However I can't see how they can offer on-line check in when you need to check in your bags... Insurance is automatically offered so click on the box if you don't want it. They're seriously thinking of taking payment for the toilets too....!!!!
Some of the answers on this thread aren't up to date.

Firstly, online check-in used to require you to go online two days (or less) prior to each flight. Unless you had access to the internet while abroad that made using online check-in for your return flight impossible. That was changed last year. You can now check-in online 15 days prior to departure (and up to 4 hours before the flight).

Secondly, online check-in used to be restricted solely to customers only taking hand baggage. Since 19/03/09 online check-in is now available to almost all passengers, including those with checked baggage. (On arrival at the airport you have to take your cabin baggage to a bag drop desk but there are no passport or other ID checks at that point)

In my experience Ryanair online check in is a total nightmare and is interpreted on the spot by staff. I was recently 'fined' 15 for not having printed a boarding card on a return leg, having gone outward quite happily on the same documentation.

I find that with this company they are just about competent to manually check you in and fly the planes. They seem to go to pieces over anything more complicated, and charge you for anything they can think of.

I recently had two weeks in Valencia, courtesy of Ryanair. I flew out on 11 March and back on 25 March. I was unable to print out my return boarding pass on the morning of 11 March, presumably because it was more than 14 days (more than 14x24 hours) before my return flight. The last time I looked, you could print out your boarding pass up to 14 days (not 15) before the flight. They are now charging 30 to put luggage in the hold.
