Has anyone got any amusing place names to report? It might be a village or town that you live in, or somewhere you have heard of. For example, I used to drive through Christmas Pie on a regular basis!

My favourite place is Dildo, in Newfoundland.
Hertfordshire is home to Bummer's Hill, and of course Minges.
How about Pratts Bottom in Kent?
Bott Hole in Yorkshire.
ooh, and i was once doing some work in France in a place called Valloire de Trois Asse on the River Asse.  Valley of Three Asses?  lovely place.

********** always makes me laugh!

and there is a road near me called ********** lane!

that's meant to say cokfoster and cokweasel lane!
I live near a town called 'no place' and another town called 'pity me'
I used to go to a place on holiday in southern ireland called Ballybunion! On the isle of man there is a road called Boilley Spittal which is a bit strange!
There's a national park in the USA (somewhere between Phoenix and San Diego I think) called Prescott. Not funny in itself, but there is a big sign that proudly announces 'You are now entering Prescott'. It's funny when all you've seen is desert for 2 days!

Intercourse, Pennsylvania.

Why don't I live anywhere interesting?? Kilburn? Anyone?
durham county always good as it has wideopen and once brewed aswell. my mate live near a place in scotland called wormit.

HAHAHA 'KILLBURN' that's fantastic!! *Sighs and wipes tear from eye*.

On the way up to Edinburgh, I go past a place called Gifford which always makes me laugh. As already stated, Wide Open makes me giggle like a little girl frequently, too. I also pass a place called Shilbottle, whose roadsigns often get graffitied...

Little Snoring and Great Snoring in Norfolk
There's a town in New Mexico that used to be called hot Springs, but changed it's name to Truth or Consequences after a game show.  I believe they got some money out of it.

I think I'm right in saying that there's a place here in Dorset called Windy Bottom.

"Brown Willy" on Dartmoor...also there are two willages near where I grew up called "Outer Ting Tong" and "Inner Ting Tong".
Windy Bottom! Someone's having a laugh, surely! Or a curry...

Putting together an engineering project at Horney Common in East Sussex, regularly drive past a road sign to Land of Nod when visiting Mum in Yorkshire. Better still, a mate of mine coined a phrase in the summer when following through during a fart..it's a "shart", I near did the same in Hampshire misreading a road sign to S Harting!
