I need to write to someone who has kindly helped my elderly father recently. I know the address but I don't know his surname. Is there some way in which I can find out the name of someone who lives at a particular address?

If you go to the local town hall or library, I think you can look at the Electoral Register.
If you can't attend locally, 192.com has a lot of this info online, but they charge for it
Or write to ''The Occupier'' at that address, explaining that you don't know his/her name?
Just address it to his christian name & address, Im sure it will reach him, Ive received lots of private letters through the mail over the years with just my christian name on the envelope, in fact one time I received a letter with just my christian name and the post code on the envelope.
