I am trying to find out where can be found a statue of a black boy, and indeed possibly entitled "The Black Boy", which is at the foot of a staircase in a house open to the public somewhere in Yorkshire.

Yes I know it is rather vague, but that is all the information I have! Anyone out there have any ideas?

It was removed as Politically incorrect !
Wasn't this in Liverpool on a bank building to commemorate the roots of the Liverpudlian slave trade?

I think it might have featured on the BBC programme 'Coast'. And as said it was removed, but might have been put back in order that the past is not covered up. Will have a look on t'internet for more.

Sounds interesting, but the person who asked me for help with this query has never been to Liverpool. She is certain she saw it when visiting a house in Yorkshire.
Perhaps it could be the Captain Cooke statue at Great Ayton ?
