Can anyone tell me when the Burg Al Arab was built in Dubai?

Construction started in 1994 and the building was completed in 1999.

Many thanks heathfield and jno. After posting this question I finally found it on Google Earth. Also, a website I looked at named it as Burg but I thought it was Burj so don't know if it can be spelled both ways or not.

PS - does anyone know when the pictures for Google Earth were actually taken?

The word is acceptable with both spellings.
Some Google pictures are really pretty old and low resolution - for my area you can't even make out the roads. But they're updating all the time with higher resolution stuff - in a view of a city near me, you can actually see the colour of the clothes people in the streets are wearing! It's an ongoing process, so I suppose only Google would know the dates when various photos were taken. Sometimes you might get a clue from buildings etc that aren't there, or are under construction, or are completed.
