The loudest and best thunder claps

is there any part of the world that is renowned for loud thunderclaps and many of it?

in Cuba it was terrific watches the storms over the sea, it was truly exciting and the air just smelt dangerous!!!!!

yes i think rotherham just set the new sound record for thunder just had all the windows in the house shaking

I would suggest any major mountain range such as the Alps as the thunder more or less reverberates off the deep valleys and makes it sound louder and last longer. Remember one very good example years ago in Interlaken in Switzerland, seemd to go on for ever!
