Not sure if this is the correct category, maybe it should be (animals&nature,) but was just wondering what sort of pleasure do people get by "mooning"?

Just seen it included in a clip on "TV nightmares"

I work with young people, and they do it for the shock tactics, particuarly to those who they deem old and sad (their words, not mine!)

And then of course there are the blokes, and women who do it whilst drinking on the town, and I think they do it because they can, and its a case of 'look at me im crazy and i dont care!'

but mainly i think its to show how much they dont care, as is usually coupled with a yell of 'kiss my a*se'

Charmers eh?!!

I suppose I may have old fashioned ideas and values but I think it is such an empty gesture and only belittles themselves.

My ex hubby and his mates used to do that 30 years ago when they were working for HRH in uniform!!!!!!!!!
i hate women who do it when they are drunk, it is revolting!!! i know 99% of them men on here probably love it!!! i hate watching things like ibiza uncovered, and there is a group of 8-10 girls, and they find it hilarious flashing their white, flabby arses!!!! minging!!
I think it's not uncommonly connected to drinking, and is probably related to streaking too, though I suspect streaking is more about exhibitionism and mooning is more likely to be vaguely contemptuous.

I remember mooning on the school bus once, coming back from a school trip. I got the cane. I remember the Head Master saying "You won't want to show your bottom off when its as red as a baboons will you laddy"

Ouch, I can still feel it now....................

bum fluff (:-)

Iv'e always found it a strange sort of insult, because it makes the mooner look more of a ** ** than the moonee.
