This may well have been asked many times, but...

...how come you all seem able to type in multi-colours when I can't;

...how do names appear in bold when you reference them in a reply;

....how do you get web addresses in colour and underlined;

....how do you create a link to a site without typing in its name, e.g. when people just say 'there is information here' and the word 'here' is a link to another site?????

Sorry for so many question, but my posts look so dull!

Thank you

Don't know about the last one, that's alway's foxed me..

Above the box where you type your answers you will see the letters B, I, U and A.

B is for bold, I for Italic, U for underline and A is for colours.

Click on the relevant letter and highlight the text you want to alter.

I can't do any of this either and have been told it's because we run Mozilla Firefox.If I log on in Internet Explorer I can do it.
I can't explain about the links because I am basically a computer dunce but am sure someone will guide you along as to how to do it.
I think you copy and paste the Url and then overwite it without spaces .
I'll go now !!
Colours, bold, italic etc: there should be a row of them just above the panel where you type your answer, but I believe these aren't available on things like Firefox, only Internet Explorer. To link a word, type or copy the full address of the website you want to link to, hit the space bar (not the return key) so that it will appear in colour and underscored; then you can highlight it (drag the cursor/arrow over it) and type in 'here' or whatever you want - the link will still work.
oh, crossed with shaney there. She's right. But when you've finished overwriting, you can go back and put spaces in.
I have just learnt how to post a link today. Don't know how they do it by writing here though. If you want to post a link, get on to the page you want, in another window, and then right click in the address box and click copy, then go back onto post an answer, right click on copy and it should come up. By pressing the space bar, it underlines it. Clever eh?
I have no idea how its done xanderma.
