Just a footnote, I tried clicking on them in the thread and it just took me to AB Homepage. I'd type them in your address bar if you are having the same prob.

Aye

It'll take about a month to notice the benefits, but I certainly get far fewer calls and much less junk mail now. Any junk mail I do still get is torn up and sent back in the reply envelopes, no stamp attached. If it bu**ers up the Royal Mail, so be it. Even better, send it back in another company's envelope. They soon get the message.

Hi Bez..I registered the TPS one last year, and it's made a great difference! I'll hurry to do the junk mail one right now! Ta babes!

No probs Linda :)

Oh dear! When I clicked on the register bit,it froze, and I didn't get any further! Is it my laptop again,or is anyone else having probs registering?

Question Author
Linda just re-checked it...... I was actually written down wrong in some mail I received today....so I googled it, it should be www.mpsonline.org.uk
THanks Bez! I got onto the site ok! But when I clicked the wee button to stop my address being targeted,it was highlighted but nothing further happened.
Question Author
Linda not sure if that site is just for the UK......google Mailing Preferencing Service (MPS), it may be a different address for where you are.
No,I 've been there Bez..anyway.it's Belfast,so that should be ok? I've tried a few times now,but no luck!

Just bear in mind that calls or letters coming from abroad aren't covered so you may still receive those.

If you want to stop the unaddressed mail that comes as 'delivered by Royal Mail' (usually loans, insurance etc), then you can call 0845 795 0950.
