I sometimes used to pick up a local Asian newspaper, and in the personal ads nearly all the people were looking for 'Sylheti muslims'. I looked on the map and it's a small apparently rural region in Bangladesh.


What is so special about people from Sylhet that nearly everyone there was looking for one exclusively- is it similar to Brahmins?
