Does anyone know if there are any dating sites where I'd be able to meet a football-mad lady?

Dont know bout websites but why not try talking to girls when you go to the games?
Question Author

Too shy to make that initial contact :o( Once the conversation is flowing, I'm fine. Tried some dating sites, but football seems to be a big NO! with the girls.

There's quite a few regular female posters on the Sport section of AB. Maybe you should ask one of them?

I love footy and im a girl, try and get your confidence up a bit. If you see a girl at the match or in the pub before hand just go up to her and ask how she thinks the team will get on today. Good Luck

surreyguy, if you support a professional side, one thats in the league as oposed to park football !

log on to their web site, and go into the forums or q&a boards.

simple as can be !!!

Aliflump...............as I said above, I'm too shy to make that initial contact. I'm a good conversationalist and oince I get past that initial "block", I'm fine - it's just getting there that is the problem :o(

Funky moped - I'm fairly well known at the club I support and I'd get RIPPED TO SHREDS if I followed your suggestion :o) I'd prefer a less obvious method of getting a result, but thanks anyway.

Ive just put in google, 'football dating sites' and the 10th one down says football contact, the webite is called flirtbox.

I cant put a link cos my filter at work wont allow it, but it looks promising.

Cheers AliFlump! I take it you're not interested then? :o)
Sorry Surreyguy, i got engaged a week ago. Who you support?
Question Author

Hi AliFlump - that's the sort of luck I have! :o(

I support Aldershot Town who play in the Conference.

Are they doing well? Im a west brom fan myself. Thought england played well this week too, Joe Cole was magnificent. Shame Darren Bent didnt score but he did well
Question Author
14th in the Conference! Results-wise this is our worst season since we reformed in 1992. Mind you, the Baggies ain't fairing much better! :o(
Bit of advice SurreyGuy,.Most birds support Man U.(Beckham or summink like that I think at the time they started supporting them).

Keep Aldershot as a 2nd Team. Buy a Man U shirt. And Im a Toony who hates Man U, by the way so it pains me to give you this advice. They were the top team at the time in the nineties when birds started taking an interest in footie.Hope ive been of some assistence.

Hell will freeze over before I wear ANYTHING to do with Man Yoo!

Oh DMA you are soooo behind the times!!!

I know a few girls who love football, other West Brom fans and there used to be an ABer girl who had season ticket to Oldham Althletic.

Girls who 'support' Man U for the reasons you state are obviously not the type of footyfans surreyguy wants to meet. He wants to go out to the pub with a girl who he can discuss the offside rule with or whether clubs should try to emulate Chelsea with 1 upfront or stick to 442. Not to go and discuss Alan Shearers legs or Beckhams hair!!!

Good on you surreyguy for throwing this BAD idea out the window.

Sorry you aint doing so well in the league and no we aint doing too well either, Chelsea on Saturday!!! They might rest Lampard but thats little consolation!!

Question Author
AliFlump - even with Robben deciding to rest himself early, it wasn't a good day for you :o(
