My nan used to tell me I was ' a proper Connie Wesson' if I did something silly. Has anyone else ever heard this expression, or does anyone know who Connie Wesson was?My nan came from the Nottingham area and I'm going back over 40 years?!

could it be a corruption of "collywesson" which my Dad (Yorkshireman) used to use for something that had gone wrong in a confused or messy way - Like when you drop stitches knitting and get a big unravelled line down your piece of work. Can't find an origin for it except for the slate mining village of Collyweston but no obvious link

Thanks for that. I've tried researching it before but had no luck. It could have been collywesson she was saying I suppose.I'll try that avenue. Thanks again.
There is a village in Suffolk called Coney Weston, near Bury St. Edmunds.
