If you could magically transform yourself into another person, who would you choose to be?
I am very shy, so pretend to be Sigourney Weaver in business meetings and when I meet new people. It helps me maintain an air of confidence and gets rid of my nervous tummy.
Even though Sigourney Weaver is 20 years older than me, I would be tempted to swap if it were at all possible.
How about you?

Don't people get suspicious when you say 'Hi, I'm Sigourney Weaver'?

There's loads of folk I would like to swap with for a limited period, just to see what it's like, but permanently? The thought is just too bizarre. Would you contact your swap to see what they've made of 'your' life?

Must be so empowering to snipe at other people's light hearted musings from your ivory tower, rjawhatever. If you're not prepared to enter into the fun of the question why bother too answer? I'll tell you what I find bizarre? People who give themselves numbers rather than names!

I can't believe I just wrote the above. My apologies!
Hey Drusilla, you ok? That didnt sound like you :-)
I would swap with Billie Joe Armstrongs wife lol
but (slightly) more seriously I would swap with an astronaut who was on a mission, cool!!

Don't worry Drusilla, I get like that too! I am always amazed by the level of rudeness some people feel proud to display. Anyway, as to the thread I like the Sigourney idea. I often try to "walk tall" to look confident, so she is a good one. I read a book, think it was by India Knight who said when she was younger and stuck in a dilemma she and her friends would ask "What would Madonna do?" who does seem to have a good mix of independence and common sense.

Anyway, I digress. I'd like to be Jo Whiley. She loves her music like me and gets paid well to do all sorts within music. She looks great and manages to bring up 3 kids too.

I know mycatis, I'm not usually so snappy, but I have been these last few days.
'Touch of the vapors, methinks!!' :-(
At least people will realise why I'm desperate to escape from me. :-)
Peter Phillips's girlfriend :-)))))))

drusilla - what was it about rja's post that offended you?

it sounds quite chatty to me and not at all rude - or did you just misread it? ... or is there something previous between you?

and i am really not having a go - just genuinely curious, as i've read and reread the post a few times and can't see any offence. I have had people be offended my posts before when none was intended. can anyone else see it, or am i just tactless and write sternly??

the way it seems to me is -

starts with a joke,

then an opinion i would agree with, as would many others - be nice for a bit but not permanently.

and it IS a bizarre idea to swap lives with someone,

and then a genuine question that would be an interesting situation to deal with, should you ever be able to swap lives - i, for one, would probably almost stalk myself!! lol

I realise you apologised straight afterwards but just really curious.

and in answer to the question - angelina jolie!! lol

joko I think I know what you mean. As soon as I had read the thread by rja it instantly put my back up. However I later re read it and wondered if I had been mistaken; perhaps the wording was just a bit off. Drusilla? rja......what do you reckon? If I was wrong I do apologise. x

Hi, joko and sunflower. The more I read ithe answer, the more inoffensive it becomes. I would like to be able to blame my outburst on the time of the month, but I can't even do that. I really apologise to everyone because such comments would put me off answering a question if I read them on someone else's thread.
'It's the voices!! The interminable voices!!!'
Bur, once again, apologies to rja.
How odd though. We both felt a vibe off the posting at first, then realised we had misread it. At least I think we did! Maybe rja is really a meanie - he/she has not got back to us yet. I think not though. Merry Christmas Drusilla. xxxx
Drusilla is that your real name? I think it's beautiful. I was going to be called Francesca Drusilla but my mum changed her mind at the last minute! In a light-hearted way I'd like to be Sharon in Eastenders as she gets to act (and snog!) with Nigel Harman!
Question Author
Sadly mydogsandme it isn't. My real name is very run of the mill. When my brother was little he wore sandals that looked like Roman soldiers footwear and my grandfather nicknamed him 'Caligula', which meant 'little boot'.
Drusilla was Caligula's favourite sister and that's why I chose it. Not that I would claim to be my brothers favourite sister, especially as I'm certain one of my other sisters in on site and she's tougher than me.
I do have a fantasy where I change my name to Drusilla Lucrezia Fenelli, but being titian haired I don't think I'd pass as an exotic Italian countess. :-(
interesting story Drusilla!
