This probably puts a few long-time guessers out of their misery - she & I have been “together” for 10 years+ (Lynne could tell you to the minute) - well, as together as we can be, living nearly 300 miles apart. We haven’t said anything as neither of us wanted to be treated differently (nicely or otherwise) on here, but with Lynne’s consent, I’m owning up for both of us as we know that many of you have been concerned for her & we didn’t want to keep the worry going without some news.
Anyhoo – she has a fracture of her left shoulder (not due to a fall or knock) & has been suffering with it for more than a week, but playing it down. When we spoke yesterday, I managed to persuade her that she needed to call an ambulance. She was seen in hospital last night, given a partial cast & discharged.
I hopped a train early this morning & with Lynne’s daughter’s help, we arrived in Bolton around 4:30 to find Lynne in some discomfort & really quite unwell, with symptoms seemingly unconnected with the fracture. Without Lynne’s say-so, I don’t feel it’s my place to comment further at the moment, other than to say that the superb ambulance crew that came this evening will advise the hospital that she needs to be kept in for at least tonight.
We weren’t allowed to accompany her, but she was in better spirits than we found her in & was able to have a laugh & smile. *Should* she be discharged tonight, I’ll cab it to the hospital to collect her.
If you recall, we’ve been here before – about 3 years ago she fractured the head of her right humerus & I was with her for 3 months, so I’ll be staying here as long as she needs me to this time.
Lynne means the world to me, so you have my word I’ll be doing my best by her & will keep you updated when I have further news.
Thanks for listening & I hope you can fill the thread with nice stuff for her to look at & listen to when she’s home :- ))

Thank you Lie-in King for that clear and, I feel, heartfelt post. I had noticed Mamya's absence today, so it's reassuring to know her family and friend are there for her.
It's a good job she's a strong Lancashire lass so with your help, I'm sure she'll be on the mend soon.
Can't think of a suitable record yet, so I'll just send my warmest wished to you both. Stay strong.

I didn't have a clue you two were together. So happy for both of you :o)
