what's the question??
What about it?
Mr. Billing, you have two minutes on the life and career of Group Captain Peter Townsend starting now...
we don't do your homework for you - even though you ask so nicely...(!)
can't believe this is a homework question, even in ancient history, joko... but then it isn't a question at all... what do you want exactly?
Did you know that if you rearrange the letters of Group Captain Peter Townsend you get - Treasuring poppet, cannot wed?

Actually I don't think there is much to answer anyway:

On 18th November 1956 he retired from the RAF and retained the rank as a Group Captain. He also received awards and positions as a Commander of the Order of Orange Nassau, an Officer of the Legion dHonneur and a Chevalier in the Danish Order of Dannebrog

Peter Townsend finally retired from his various duties, settled in France and remained there until he died in 1995 at the age of 80 years old

oh, he had quite a career in the RAF - I think he wrote an autobiography; can't remember it's name but it's probably searchable on Amazon.
He joined The Who.
