Have you been to Monkey World?

Or considered moving somewhere more interesting?

;-)

depending on your view of excitement there's always climbing durdle door - or a booze cruise out of poole harbour- you have really made me homesick!
I moved !
Everything you list is pretty much a one-off item..."been there, done that"...so what about trying something ongoing? Poole harbour, for example, is home to many water-type activities. Try a sailing, windsurfing or sub-aqua club. The steam railway group at Swanage is, I'm sure, always willing to see new volunteers. Why not set out to visit, not just one pub, but all the pubs in the county which serve real ale? Dorset is positively heaving with things to do.

Exactly QM!

Anyone that moans about being bored in Dorset (or any county for that matter!) should be ashamed... It might be an idea  if you told us your interests then perhaps we could be a little more helpful.

Have you looked in the local Daily Echo, Tourist Information - both crammed full of events to please everyone. Have you visited all the numerous Nature Reserves, RSPB Reserves, been to Brewer's Quay in Weymouth. We have the greatest number of night clubs next to London, the most pubs, any shop you care to name, the  Aviation Museum at Hurn Airport.....that's just for starters.....

Dorchester is a great place, have you been there? How about the Tutenkhamun (spelling?) exhibition they have there. There's the 'Hovis' hill, Chesil beach, Weymouth, Lyme Regis (and just over the border into Devon, Beer, and Seaton). There's Lulworth Cove and just down the road, Tyneham which was abandoned in the second World War (don't know when it's open for visiting, you'll have to google) then all the delights of Swanage, Bournemouth and Poole. I'm sure your local tourist information center will have even more ideas for you!
