Hi owner2, sorry don't know what it is, could you explain, could be that it's called something different elsewhere.

it was a very simple and violent game.if you saw a vw beetle you were allowed to punch your schoolmate.hours of fun!
yes we did, sorry, didn't realise what you meant. I often went home from school with a dead arm:)
It sounds like a up dated version they have today, its now called " Happy Slapping "
They play something smiliar in the tv show "malcolm in the middle" except it's "yellow car". I found this out the hard way when driving an employee who is a fan of the show - she thumped me out of the blue whilst I was driving us along the A75! An apologetic explination followed!
I was brought up in Aberdeen in the 60'/70's, and we played it. I remember "Anglia-Stranglia", you were allowed to strangle your pal if you spotted an Anglia, "Beetle-Back"(?) you were allowed to slap your opponent across the back. Different cars had different acts of violence associated with them, usually played on the top deck of a bus. All good hearty fun, or so I was told.

We did the same VW-Beetle punching game as kids, but we called it "Slug Bug."

I was brought up in Edinburgh and I've never heard of it!
