yesterday, how's that for a headline, in fact it was Robert Powell, sitting quietly with a woman, perhaps his wife, it seemed strange in a way to see someone famous on public transport. I saw Rory McGrath on a bus once, on the top deck, he hardly fitted into the seat..

have you ever spotted someone well known on your public transport travels, bus, train or other.

Back in the 90's I was having a cuppa in a cafe in London when a man asked if he could share my table. He was from Yorkshire as am I, and we were soon chatting away like old friends. I thought I was being paranoid as it seemed like the rest of the cafe were staring at us. After he had gone, a bloke said "What was he like?" I didn't have a clue who he was and even when the bloke told me his name it meant nothing.
It was David Seaman who was the England goalie at the time

I had that Griff Rhys Jones in the train once. We was heading out to Norfolk. Never said a word. And that Carol Vorderman. She was going to Cambridge. Had an assistant with her. Don't suppose you can go to the bog without a PR woman to represent you to the press, what with being important like her.

Wow. I'm impressed. I don't think I've ever seen anyone famous, but my sister once saw the actor Simon Callow in Oxford Street in London. He was picking his nose apparently.
