Looks a bit weird I know but I wondered if anyone know the nationality of this surname? The first 2 letters are not LL btw. I cant even pronounce it! Thanks in advance.

I am sorry I cannot help you with the nationality of this surname ( but personally I think it is British?).

It is pronounced I LIFF, I hope that's clear?

Hmm....I am not sure, but at a guess, I would say Welsh.  I am Welsh and I havent heard of it, but in our alphabelt we have LL as one letter.  It sounds like TTTTTTTTHhhhhhhlllllllll.  :-)

Thank you all. mystress sorry the first 2 letters are not LL.  There are 3 eyes for want of a better description.LOL   I I i f f e.  Pughee Im welsh..Cardiff but I've never heard this name before. Kempie,thanks for the link. Im still wondering how to pronouce this name!
