If you were to have dinner with any famous person (could be a historical figure) who would it be and why? Mine would be Stephen Fry because I think he's so clever, funny and interesting, I could lean loads of interesting facts from him and seem really knowledgeable around people!

Bobby Jones. Not just because he was one of the best golfers ever but because his outlook on life was an example to all through triumph and adversity.
Paul Merton I think, as I love his sense of humour, and he can be as silly as me.  On the other hand there's several others.

Stanley Kubrick. His ideas are so vivid it would interesting to know the motions in his mind.
Rachel Stevens. Because she's really fit.
Derren Brown I think.  I met him the week before last and I would have loved the chance to talk to him more.  I agree about Stephen Fry, though.
Spike Milligan - if you know his work, then I need not explain, if you dont I probably cant explain
The late Dave Allen, I can't think of anyone more entertaining.
Yes FP and I found him rather attractive!!!
i would have dinner with Marlyn Monroe and I'd ask her - what really happened on the night of her death?  Quite morbid really?
Oh so many really & I do agree with you about Stephen Fry.  Depending on my mood it would be Desmond Morris, or Alan Davies.
It would have to be Peter Ustinov, with his ability to create so many personas you could laugh, cry, and even be educated by this man's wonderful and varied life. he would probably pay for the grub as well.
How did you get to know Quentin Crisp, Andy?

id have dinner with jeff buckley and ask him why he drowned...whether it really was an accident or not.
James Dean for dinner...... and dessert, Hitler because it'd be fascinating to get into his brain. Probably lots more who i can't think of right now.
Jeff Buckley would be nice mslovely.  He could then sing Lilac Wine to me - one of my very favourites.

hi carolg,

at the moment it would have to be Justin Lee Collins, that bloke off channel 4 who is making the grange hill prog. I think hes one of the funniest people on tv but i don't fancy him so would be quite happy to enjoy a big dinner in his company and not be embarrassed.

It'd have to be Kozi (ex-Malice Mizer guitarist). Because he is hot, hot, hot!!! (Yes, he is famous - in Japan.)

i would definitely choose quentin tarrantino - what goes on in his mind would be amazing to find out.
