I have had my pc for 4 years it is a dell xps710 or should i say was, i have formatted it about 3 times for various reasons, and every time have had to use the resources cd to reinstall the drivers for the ethernet controllers to enable me to use the internet, however 2 months ago the motherboard failed and dell replaced it as i took the 5 year warranty out, i recently upgraded to windows 7, by the way i was on xp. but did not like it as i love flightsim 2002 but it does not like 7 so i reformatted and reinstalled xp, when i came to put the drivers in it would not recognise and have found out that the motherboard the dell rep replaced was xps 720. as i am still under warranty i phoned dell to explain the problem but he said it is nothing to do with the drivers the modem is probably the fault, i have got virgin media 50 meg with supermodem and my sons laptop and daughters upstairs pc work fine. i have not phoned dell back yet just thought some of you bright people could let me know of a website i could download the relevent drivers before another hour talking to dell.

I think you are better going back to Windows 7 and then trying to get Flightsim to work.

There are various things to try on Windows 7 to get games to work, such as using the campatibility mode option.
