Does anyone know if any of the buildings of Stafford Gaol still exist? I am especially interested in the Chapel and burial ground as an ancestor committed suicide there in 1884 .... would have have been buried at the Gaol? (He was from Walsall) Thanks

Hi echokilo, there is a website : www.staffordshire.gov.uk
which has a link to the gaol museum. You can also access prisoner records from this. You can find it via the Shire Hall links. Sorry don't know how to do the link direct.
