Is it possible to be able to board passanger ships in southampton Dock's?? I have a relative who would like to look around a ship. I didn't know if it was possible to buy a pass to be able to view a ship. and who I would need to contact.

It used to be possible - whether current security scares have killed it off I don't know.

You need to contact the shipping lines who call there - P&O, Cunard, etc.

I would doubt it very much.

I have cruised with P & O and all passengers had a specific ID card which was electronically scanned every time a passenger left of joined the ship at port.

I doubt they'd go to that sort of trouble for casual visitors - but by all means ask.
