I have an old Benrus watch and I'm trying to find out a bit more about it it has a gold dial with Arabic (1234) numbers but on the inside it has the numbers for the 24 hour clock (military time for U.S readers) it has a round case in base metal silver and a green canvas strap.
Could it have been a military issue watch?
P.S.
It keeps excellent time.

Tried a site called pens and watches (or something like that) they have a selection of old dials to buy, but nothing like mine.
I don't think it's particuarly valuable I'm just curious.
You could pop over to http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=22 say hello and ask your question in "watch talk" lots of very knowledgeable people there. Also a good place to ask your other question about books & tools as lots of the users modify/repair their watches.
