Tattoos in school

I am a recent college graduate and am trying to get a job teaching. I have several tattoos which I try to cover up for interviews and such, but I can't always hide them. Are there any other tattooed teachers out there? Do the schools care about them? How about students and parents? If you are a parent would you feel comfortable with a tattooed teacher teaching your kids?
