Someone told me that you cant be on optician if you have glasses yourself!! is this true?????

My next door neighbour is a dispensing optician and he wears glasses.

Optomotrists can wear glasses.
But i wonder if they are allowed to do their own sight tests?

To be an optician you have to be over 6ft tall, always wear hotpants and have a gammy hand that you pick your nose with....
