help it's driving me mad I can't think what I am doing esp as it even happens in the office as well as at home when I am wearing completely different clothes and doing different things. I anyone help identify what it would be and/or ways of 'uncharging' myself

I just created a 1/2 meter spark, and I keep getting full on shocks from electric appliances, I'm scared to touch anything

Yeah I get it also. Not as bad as you describe though .Also it happens to me when I make contact with something non-mettalic i.e un-plugged plastic kettle, wooden door etc.Nasty feeling.
