Wearing false eyelashes for the first time tomorrow; they say to apply to clean eyelids which makes sense but can I put all my usual eye make-up (shadow and liner) on after applying? TIA

Disclaimer: I'm a single fella' who is nearer to 60 than to 50, so this isn't my area of expertise!

However, in the past, (like most men!) I've had to wait for a female partner to 'get herself ready' before going out. The ritual of applying false eyelashes, and then applying eye make-up, is one that I'm fully familiar with and I can see no reason as to why you shouldn't apply such make-up to your own false eye-lashes.

I know some single fellas, nearer to 60 than 50, whose area of expertise this definitely is! :)
Each to their own, Mike ;-)
Sophie - when I saw that Chris and had answered your question I was curious so came to see what useful information they had given you.

I would probably spend the whole night checking that they were still stuck to my eye lid and not my nose. But no doubt you will get used to them.

As Chris says - just put your war paint on as per normal.

When I wear mascara I usually end up rubbing it off and giving myself panda eyes. :-(

Enjoy your night out.
Yes you can apply your eye make up afterwards.

I found the best way to get them on and to stay on was to buy them from MAC just before you go out as they put them of for you, including cutting them to size, within the price if they aren't too busy. Need to live near a MAC counter though!

Decent glue is also key to make sure they stay on properly.
Put plenty of glue on so that one comes off and sticks to the other. hat looks funny : )

Thanks for all the answers, did pop back and check before I went out but was in a bit of a rush! The eylashes were a success, would definitely use them again and though putting on make up after would be tricky but it was fine! Don't have a Mac counter here Jenna which is annoying as that would be really handy!
