yes.
Unless they put that it was complete fabrication and in jest. Surely?
(I'm just thinking about as aspersion I've just cast about Prince Edward & William Hague.....!)
There has been lot's of warnings to people about things said. They are usually removed..
So if someone calls me a tart on here, I can sue?
the judge may well throw out the pending lawsuit against salla. It'll probably depend on what side of bed he got out of.
If it was a libel, and AB was the medium by which the libel had been communicated to third parties, then yes ... AB could be liable.

(that "banditry" thread is SO going to get pulled now, LOL)
No Salla...they can't be sued if they post the truth ;-) x
JJ....it won't because it's in the News. It's not just a random AB user making it up.
I am hurt :-(

That's it - I'm off. Dejected.
It is unusual to be 'successfully' sued for telling the truth, ummmm..........not quite the same thing ! :o)
But it's not the truth - I'm not really a tart, I just say tarty things.

Now I'm really going >>>>>>>
I was talking about Salla being a tart.... :-)

(xx salla)
I think the post would be removed as part of the answerbank "terms of use"
JTH.....but that is the point........what is the truth and can one substantiate it?

I know someone who stated on AB, that i had posted "that i was naked in a hotel room masturbating"........would you describe that as libellous and if proved incorrect, then a successful legal action might be likely.............don´t you think?
unusual, jack, but not unheard of

No you couldn't sue them as you have broken one of the "terms of use" which you agreed to when signing up.

exactly squarebear.
There's a big difference between genuine libel and an obviously humerous comment based on unfounded rumour.
