Hi!
Got gifted some tan coloured shoes (leather) but they are not as tan as I want them to be. They seem more orange. Silly question maybe but do you think I can get dark brown/tan shoe polish to make them look darker? Or is there anything else I can do?

Why don't you get some shoe dye and make them the colour you want? This may sound rash but when I wanted a very specific shoe colour for my wedding (a chestnut colour) I went to Halfords and got exactly what I wanted in a paint spray can. It worked fine (slightly better on fabric shoes than on the youngsters' leather sandals) but you can touch up if they scuff. It was a great deal cheaper that having them dyed at Timpson's!

Don't use spray paint on leather it will just crack. Get a shoe dye, quite simple to apply and you will get the desired result.
