Most 'traditional' moth balls have, in recent years, been made using naphthalene. These have now been banned:

Dichlorobenzene has also been used but its now outlawed, as it's believed to be carcinogenic.

Camphor used to be used but was discontinued in favour of the cheaper (and more effective) compounds referred to above.

So I'm surprised to find ANY traditional moth balls still being sold. However Amazon still stock (what appear to be) them:

Why do you want to buy the "real ones" annrob? Aren't you worried they'll make your clothes smell minging?
No lardhelmet,
Going by her question in Pets,I think ann wants them to keep cats out of her garden.
You can still buy them in Wikinsons .I bought some there a while back to scatter round the garden to prevent next doors damn cat from coming in to either kill anything that moves or poop in the flowerbeds .
Not very successful .
World War three could break out and the ruddy thing would take no notice . A hosepipe on full blast ,right up his rear end soon shifted him though :)
