Heres the problem.  Mum does not like smellys/ chocolate or booze.  Have large family, everything that I would think of have been taken.  She is the lady who has everything, jewellery, ornaments, pictures, lots of handbags, purses, gloves and dressing gowns etc.  Anyone have a similar family member/ friend and could give chrimbo suggestions?

Go for the personal option rather than the materialistic side. If she has everything already go for something sentimental or something personal between the two of you.

Just give her some money. Most elderly folk dont have enough of it and that way she can buy herself something that she wants without us second guessing her. Also throw in a free lift to the after christmas sales.

I had the same problem, but I've gotten mine some Logitech Z3's for her laptop. It's exactly what she wouldn't have bought for herself. And they 're great.

A donation to a charity, eg the Oxfam scheme to give a hive of bees or some chickens to those who DON'T have everything, or AdoptaDuck from the Wildfowl trust.

How about something for the garden. Does she enjoy watching the birds, if so perhaps a new bird table or dove cote?

Is it at all possible you could gather together as many of your family as possible, minus Mum, and have a family photo taken and put it in a really nice frame?

 

Or a years subscription to her favourite magazine.

Why not pay for her to have a massage, manicure, facial and pedicure.  I got my mum this one year and she enjoyed every minute of it!
