I'm not sure if this is the right section but as my question concerns a shop I'll plump for shopping.
About 20-25 years ago there was a shop on Prince's Street,Stockport, which sold audio equipment.Tapes, headphones, radios, stereos and so on.It was just down from the bookshop,Sherratt & Hughes before it became Waterstones, heading towards Debenhams. Can anyone remember what it was called? It was part of a chain.I think it disappeared about 15 years ago.

Could it have been Radio Shack. ??

Thanks forthe suggestion,Naomi. That doesn't ring any bells with me.Radio might have been in the name, though. It's one of those things where it's almost on the tip of my tongue but every time its there I lose it.
I think Radio Shack was the American name. They were called Tandy in the UK. Is this the one? Best alternative today is probably Maplins. There is one across the road from PC World at Peel Park (iI think that is what it is called - next to Portwood roundabout)
