It is still ongoing.

The Court ruled that banks are subjected to the same contract laws as anyone else and their terms must be fair.

The banks have appealed this and the outcome of the appeal is still ongoing.

Meanwhile, the Office of Fair Trading is to decide whether the terms are fair or not.

It could be months before the decision of the Appeal Court is made, and even if the banks lose the appeal, the OFT could rule the charges are fair.

So a long way to go yet.
I work for a legal company in Essex and I am currently dealing with some of the claims. The cases are still ongoing, but we are expecting to have more information and possibly an outcome by the end of Jan 2009. It is, however, very likely that the cases will take longer then this, so please be patient! You will hear something as soon as the company dealing with your claim has any news for you!
You don't need any company to make money out of your legitimate claim, you can do it yourself very easily:

Don't let these leeches who have jumped on the bandwagon profit from this.
I agree with Ethel. I claimed my own using the template letters on the Money Saving Expert website (link in Ethel's post) and got a refund shortly before they were put on hold.

My friend used a Company who started her claim at the same time, she has had no money back yet and they are charging her a fortune to do something that I did myself very easily.
