The good thing about scented sugar is you can use anything scented. For instance, from the garden pick rose petals, elderflowers and lavendar. If you've got rosemary. You need 500g golden caster sugar, put the sugar in a container with a handful of rosemary stems or lavendar stems or handful of rose petals. Leave for a week to infuse, then, sift out the bits as you use the sugar.
Vanilla Sugar is a great all-purpose one...just put a vanilla pod in your sugar pot. One pod will last for ages. The same can be done with orange rind.
