How do you remove sticky labels off new knife handles that will not soak off in water?

Try using a hairdryer, or steam from your kettle.

Which method worked? or do you use the knife with the label on?

I know this is late but it might help someone searching the site. Eucalyptus oil. Also gets chewing gum out of carpets or hair. If you don't like the smell, orange oil is a good alternative.
