I agree with Ethel, see your GP

I have actual diagnosed IBS - had lots of tests for other things before they settled on IBS - and other IBS sufferers I know have a completely different set of symptoms too me

Wind, constipation, loose stools, burping, stomach pains, trapped wind. I can control mine my watching my diet for the most part, but sometimes I can be in severe pain with it. It is chronic and if you have it, you will always have it

have same symptoms as you..... unfortunately its not something that can be cured but with the right diet you don't have to suffer constantly! my vice is chocolate, but after eating have terrible cramps and wind! put it like this... need gas mask jokes aside i know its embarrassing but get it checked out.

thanks for your answer, what diet is it you stick to. thanks
As fat free as possible, no butter, no lard for cooking etc. It doesn't work for everyone though, but a healthy life style is good for all

Things like olive oil don't seem to affect me
Chocolate goes right through me
Some fruit affects me
As do nuts and onons. It's about finding what doesn;t agree with you
I am aso wheat and gluten intollorant so avoid bread, white pasta etc

IBS can often be a mask to Crohns Disease. Ill provide a link below. However, IBS is treatable and can be managed through stress reduction, diet and medications. A holistic approach to IBS is peppermint. In fact, some of the expensive capsule treatments people buy actually contain nothing but peppermint. Until such time as you see your GP, you might wish to try a regimen of peppermint several times a day.

I wish you every success
