Hi all,

I recently bought a brand new pair of Firetrap jeans for 60 (so expected pretty good quality). I washed them on their own for the first time in a 30 degree wash and they now have die marks all around the crotch area!!! It looks like the die has run out of the motif on the pocket. What do you think my chances are of getting the shop to replace them with a new pair or will they not help due to them having been washed?

Ta muchly.

I would definitely take them back - I have returned stuff before that hasn't washed well. I took a Kickers top back to JD Sports because it shrunk in the wash and they sent it off to be examined - just in case I hadn't followed the washing instructions! Seems a bit extreme if you ask me but I did get my money back in the end.

Do you really want a new pair though because the same thing might happen again when you wash them - get a refund and buy some jeans somewhere else.

Good luck!

yeah, i'd definately take them back. I've a couple of items develop problems after washing, and as long as you've followed the washing instructions then you should be ok. when you think about it, if a piece of clothing is damaged after washing, following the instructions, then it isn't fit for us and you should get a refund.

Thanks for your advice B & Missmoore. I was thinking the same thing about it happening again so I might well just ask for my money back if they can't guarantee it won't happen again.

Cheers.
