I know the viewing figures are collected from the boxes but in my entire life I've never met anyone who has one or who has known anyone who has one, do you?

I know someone who had one. They got their tv licence paid for them.

As far as I know (could be wrong lol) there are only about 1000 people (from all walks of life) who have them, the box monitors everything they watch and then they pro rata the figures.
