I have a kilt I want to sell on E Bay but I dont know how to tell what waist size it is. How do I measure it? when its opened out or when its closed? any ideas folks? thanks

don't kilts kind of wrap around..? I'd say when it's closed, and if it adjusts to different sizes, just measure the biggest and the smallest and state that it fits sizes xx - xx. I guess you could also put the open measurement on there too, just in case.. i mean, that's what I'd do!! haha x

well I've never actually seen a real live kilt... but yes I do see why you're confused..!! hehe

You could just state what size you are/were when it fitted you but you should fasten it at its tightest point and measure across the top then double it and also at the loosest point of the belt and again double it :-)
